For business owners looking to defray costs or access new funding, here are a number of small-business grants you can apply for right now.
FedEx Entrepreneur Fund offers $10K grants
Delivery giant FedEx has opened up applications for its Entrepreneur Fund and Boost Camp program, which is presented in collaboration with funding platform Hello Alice and the Global Entrepreneurship Network. There are 150 spots in the 12-week digital growth accelerator that offers expert-led sessions, education and mentorship.
Of those 150 small-business owners who are selected, 30 will receive a $10,000 grant to be used for their business. To be eligible, the entrepreneur must be a leading executive in a small business that has a maximum of 25 employees and has generated less than $1 million in 2024 gross revenue.
Applications close Nov. 21 at 6 p.m ET.
$10,000 DoorDash disaster-relief grants
Restaurants across the country hit by a natural disaster can apply for $10,000 grants courtesy of DoorDash.
The Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund, a partnership between DoorDash, Hello Alice and the Global Entrepreneurship Network, is open to restaurants in state or federally declared natural-disaster areas. The program's grant window opens on a rolling basis, with four a year.
To be eligible, restaurants must have a brick-and-mortar location, fewer than 50 employees per location, be open at least six months and have less than $3 million in revenue per location. The current window for applications is open until Jan. 6 at 6 p.m. ET.
$100,000 in cash prizes for positive impact
Skip Small Business Growth Grant
Grant and business plan platform Skip is accepting applications for a $10,000 cash grant winner, along with five $500 grant winners through Nov. 18 at midnight. Applications are open to any active members and those on free trials. Winners will be notified Dec. 15.
Additional grants business owners can apply for throughout 2025 include:
- Verizon's Small Business Digital Ready program: Business owners who sign up for the free Verizon Small Business Digital Ready online community will be eligible to apply for grants throughout the year. The company provides up to $1 million in grant funding a year.
- The National Science Foundation: The National Science Foundation’s America’s Seed Fund provides millions in grant funding to small businesses and startups with big ideas. The grant program gives out roughly $200 million per year to eligible businesses.
- The National Association for the Self-Employed: The National Association for the Self-Employed has a $4,000 growth grant that it offers on a rolling basis. Only members are eligible.
